Standard Ready-Mix Concrete
The core product and the majority of what leaves our ten plants every morning. NYSDOT approved mix designs batched to the strength, slump and aggregate your drawings call for, and delivered from whichever of our eight locations is closest to the job.
Where It Goes
- Footings, foundation walls and slabs on grade
- Sidewalk, curb and municipal flatwork
- Structural decks, columns and piers
- Residential driveways, patios and garage slabs
What to Tell Dispatch
- The specified strength (psi) and the spec section it comes from
- Slump at the truck and whether you are adding water or plasticiser
- Aggregate size the placement crew needs
- Total yardage and how fast you can take it
High-Early Strength Concrete
When the schedule will not wait for a standard 28-day curve. High-early mixes reach usable strength in a fraction of the normal time so forms come off sooner, decks get loaded sooner, and a road or slab opens back up sooner. The same mixes carry a winter schedule through a cold snap.
Where It Goes
- Fast-track roadway and intersection work with a hard reopen time
- Post-tensioned decks and early form stripping
- Cold-weather placements that need strength before the temperature drops
- Repair and shutdown work in a fixed window
What to Tell Dispatch
- The hour you need to strip, load or open to traffic
- Whether the placement is heated, blanketed or exposed
- Ambient temperature you expect at placement
- Cylinder break schedule the inspector wants
Self-Consolidating Concrete
SCC flows and consolidates under its own weight. No vibration, no honeycombing behind congested reinforcement, and a finish clean enough to leave exposed. It is the mix that makes a heavily reinforced column or a tight architectural form buildable.

- Congested reinforcement where a vibrator will not fit
- Architectural columns and walls left exposed
- Deep, narrow forms and complex geometry
- Precast-quality finish placed in the field
What to Tell Dispatch
- Form geometry and rebar spacing at the tightest point
- Placement rate and drop height
- Whether the finish is exposed or covered
- Spread target your engineer specified
Lightweight Concrete
Lightweight aggregate cuts the dead load a structure carries without giving up the strength the deck needs. On a metal-deck topping over a steel frame it is often the difference between the framing you drew and the framing you can afford.
Where It Goes
- Composite metal-deck toppings
- Upper-floor slabs on steel frames
- Renovation work over existing structure
- Roof decks and fill where weight is the constraint
What to Tell Dispatch
- Unit weight the structural engineer specified
- Deck gauge, flute depth and topping thickness
- Pump line length and height, if pumping
- Total yardage and floor-by-floor sequence
Pervious Concrete
An open-graded mix that lets stormwater pass straight through the slab into the base course below instead of running off into a drainage structure. It answers site drainage and stormwater requirements without buying the land back in detention.
Where It Goes
- Parking areas and overflow lots
- Walkways, plazas and pathways
- Site drainage where detention space is short
- Stormwater management and permeable-paving requirements
What to Tell Dispatch
- Base course and subgrade design under the slab
- Infiltration rate the site plan requires
- Who is placing it — pervious needs a crew that has done it
- Curing plan; pervious must be covered immediately
Colored and Architectural Concrete
Integral color through the full depth of the pour using the Davis Colors system, batched by weight so the tenth truck matches the first. Color that is mixed in does not wear off the way a broadcast or stained surface does.
Screen colours are indicative only — ask dispatch for a cast sample before committing to a colour on a job.

- Decorative flatwork and site walls
- Stamped and textured finishes
- Matching an existing pour or a design standard

- Davis Colors number, or a sample to match
